Previous game history:

When Matt arrived on the boat, a lot of people thought he was crazy, because he was thanking Captain Redd for kidnapping him. What a weirdo, amiright? While aboard the ship, he made friends and experienced a lot of things his world had previously barred from him, like candy, beef, and even alcohol. He didn't really know what to do with all of this new found freedom, but he did do his best to enjoy it. Because he didn't really know if it was a dream or not. His life wasn't the best on the boat, but it was much better than it was in Burim Pax. Among the friends he had made, three in particular became especially dear to him. Joe he considers his bro and would do most anything for him. Another was an android named Zee and even though she was a ninja who liked to sneak up on him and scare the daylights out of him, he still considered her one of his very best friends. The other was a woman he'd started dating named Jael. When the boat went to hell in a handbag, he helped fight the End and made it to the Golden Shore with Jael and Zee. And even though it wasn't that great of a place, it was STILL better than Burim Pax and he really considered it home.

Character Changes:

Matthew was locked into survival mode long before he was ever brought to the Elegante. Life on the Shore hasn't been easy on him, but he adapted and it became his number one priority to look after the people who'd come to mean the world to him. Eventually, it was just him and Jael and Matthew was determined not to lose her. He has been tempered by the life he's led on the shore. While remaining friendly, he is not overly trusting. Trust is something you have to earn from him and if you don't already have it, you can best believe he won't be much interested in anything you have to offer. Keeping Jael safe is his priority and if anyone bothers her, he will not hesitate to punch their face right off their head.

There've been some changes too to Matthew's canon, namely what was done to him. Originally, he had a chip in his brain and his bones were simply made metal. This was tweaked to remove the chip and make him an android instead of a metal man.

Appearance:

Matt is tall, skinny dude with messy brown hair and brown eyes. The vast majority of his skin is synthetic and it's been peeled away because it has either degraded or it's been injured during the final fight with the End, leaving his cybernetic parts visible. He walks with a limp at the moment because his knee suffered an injury on the Shore and he is unable to bend it properly. Once he's repaired, he should be able to walk properly again.

Abilities:

Matthew was once part of an experiment that replaced most of his innards with cybernetics. He is, simply put, an android now. He is significantly stronger than normal humans and is able to lift comfortably at least 200 pounds. He's also able to put his fists through most solid materials like stone or metal. While on board, Matt cannot damage the structural integrity of the ship and it would take several strikes to do any last damage to a person.

Items: nothing but himself.

Preferred Quarters: Near Jael if at all possible.

[Matt knew Jael had trouble sleeping through the night. So he isn't alarmed to wake up and find her gone. It isn't until he finally leaves to get lunch that he starts to grow concerned. This, he was not used to. He's usually seen her by now. So after a few fruitless hours of searching, he decides to make a post.]

Anybody seen a girl named Jael? Brown hair, long ears. If you see her, let her know Matt's looking for her.

[...Please don't let her be gone. Please.]

[Matt is touching the tips of his newly acquired ears.]

Okay who spiked the punch?

So I guess once wasn't enough was it?

[Sigh.]

My other one is missing, so is this journal thing our new communicators?

Zee can you see this? Can you find Jael and stay with her until I find you guys?

[There's a break in the text.]

Hello? Anybody out there? I'll take anyone at this point. Even you, Jinx.

[Matt was on his way back to his room library books under his arm.]

Hey, Metal Ass.

[Hooooold up. The shadow waves to get Matt's attention and holy shit he drops the books!]

Come on over and talk to me. We're friends right? Right. Then tell me, why's your panties in a twist, Matty? Hmmm? Is it that whole metal skeleton thing? Cause that's pretty kickass if you ask me.

[Matt finally collects himself enough to...talk...back...to his...shadow]

Don't say that!

Oh riiiight it's a secret. Secrets are boring. Let's tell eeeeverybody!

[And if you're in the general vicinity, you'll hear Matt's shadow yelling at the top of its lungs: "MATT'S SKELETON IS METAL!" right up until he's slamming the door to his room.]

[Matt had ventured into deck 12 today, looking for knick knacks and other miscellaneous items. While digging through the suitcases, he happened upon one completely filled with the letters of the English alphabet.

In a move that could only be described as pure genius, he stuck his hand into the suitcase, just to see if it was really full of magnetic letters. And yeah, it really was. Unfortunately, when he pulled his hand back out, it was covered in letters. He tried to get them off. But they only ended up stuck to him. Excellent There's one stuck to his stomach, there's one on his shoulder, his forehead, and his ass. Yeah don't even ask.

The comm clicks on.]
